Excellent conditions on an excellent golf course made the Wauchope Men’s Veteran’s Golf Club annual week of golf a most enjoyable event for over 300 starters over the two days.

The event is open to affiliated golfers within Australia in both male and female categories that encouraged visitors from Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
Trophy’s were sponsored by NSW Veteran Golf Association, Wauchope Pro Shop, (Clarke Joyce) and Wauchope Country Club.
In the Ladies division the overall 36 hole champion was won by Jan Kearsley from Shelly Beach with 75 pts.
The 18 hole Stableford winner on 7/9 was won by Wanda Kozinski from Camden with 37 pts on a c/b. Runner up was Kathryn Guyer from Taree also with 37 pts on a c/b.
The 36 hole Stableford Ladies winner was Jan Mulla with 71 pts, runner up was Robyn Gregson with 70 pts and in third place was Michelle Collier with 68 pts on a c/b.
In the men’s comp, champion across the field was Gordon Fletcher from Tenterfield with 81 pts.
Friday’s 18 hole stableford game was won by Collin Baddack from the Breakers Club with 41 pts. Runner up was Ian Witt from Wauchope with 40 pts.
The 36 hole Stableford division 1 was won by David Robinson of Wauchope with 76 pts. Runner up was Gary Duncan of Wauchope with 75 pts on a c/b and in third place was David Pettit of Wauchope also with 75 pts on a c/b.
In division 2, Stableford men’s 36 hole event the winner was Bruce Kearsley from Shelly Beach with 77 pts on a c/b.
Runner up was Frank Cornell from Nowra with 77 points on a c/b and in third place was James Warland from Newcastle with 73 pts on a c/b.
Overall, an enjoyable two days for all of the enthusiastic golfers.
