Huntingdon Public School held a "Come Dressed As A Farmer Day" to raise money for the SchoolAid - 'Hay for Hampers for Hope' Appeal.
Students got dressed up, participated in a dance, the Heel and Toe Polka, which was a lot of fun and also donated to the charity.
“We were amazed at the generosity shown and raised $223.20,” said school principal, Peta Harris.
The country school on the Oxley highway is getting ready to celebrate a milestone, its 150th birthday, later this month, on Saturday September 22.
The open day will give everyone a chance to appreciate the changes since it opened. There will be school tours, historical photos and school yard games, a delicious assortment of homemade goodies for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and most importantly, a chance for old friends and classmates to catch up. A short ceremony including cake cutting will be held shortly after lunch.
