The curtain has gone up on North Coast schools - including Wauchope Public - that will be represented in the 2018 Schools Spectacular that will be staged at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park.

The big singing and dancing show is on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24. Wauchope Public School kids will be dancing at the event.

Taree High students Cassandra Searles and Kalani Cross, Nambucca Heads High’s Shelayna Boorer, Jamila Grace from Coffs Harbour Senior College and Great Lakes College Tuncurry Campus student Jasmine Willmott will be featured ensemble dancers.
Georgia Cummins of Grafton High and Alstonville High’s Sam Green were named last month as Featured Performers.
They will be joining more than 5,000 stars including 40 Featured Performers, an incredible 100-piece symphony orchestra, stage band, 2,700-voice choir, 2,300 amazing dancers, the D’Arts Ensemble disability program, the Aboriginal Dance Company, puppets and an indispensable behind-the-scenes team.
Schools Spectacular Creative Director, Sonja Sjolander has no doubt that with the North Coast contribution, this year’s Schools Spectacular will live up to its theme: The Greatest.
“Together as one we shine brighter,” Ms Sjolander said.
“That is our greatest strength.
In addition to the show, the tens of thousands who will come to Qudos Bank Arena for this year’s four performances, will also be entertained by SpecFest which presents a carnival of displays, food and talented performances in the area outside the arena.
SpecFest will include students from Stuarts Point Public and Dunoon Public as part of the Small Schools Marimba Band, with Maclean High guitarist Declan Hickey and Georgina Hudson of Wingham High.
