The open day comes as an investigation is launched into the September 16 fire at Diamond Head Road, Crowdy Bay National Park.
The Mid-North Coast is facing the potential for another serious bush fire danger season.
NSW Rural Fire Service district manager Superintendent Kam Baker said the NSW Rural Fire Service is asking people to be vigilant during this time.
Firefighters will be available on the day to talk to people about how to prepare their property for the bushfire season.
People can then involve their friends, family and neighbours in planning for any potential fire incident.
The Open Day hosted by Wauchope Rural Fire Brigade is on Sunday September 23 from 10am until 2pm at 108 Cameron Street. There will be demonstrations and fun activities for young and mature.
SES Wauchope will be there with a free sausage sandwich on offer.
