The Under 12 Axemen in their first year of competitive football made the finals, a tremendous effort by Phil, Anthony and the kids in their first year on the big field.
The 14’s Axemen made the Semi Finals, coaches by Kyhe and Brooke. The team at the start of the season struggled for numbers and had a number of females ‘dual registering’.
The 15’s Axemen had a very successful year, winning the grand final, and then going on to defend their Zone Championship Title, beating Wingham Wanderers 1-0
The 16s Waratahs won the Grand Final, coached by Senior Ladies Britt and Rachel – many of the girls are actually playing up in their age group. The girls will represent the Club in the Champions Tournament next month in Coffs Harbour
Our 18s Girls also had a wonderful season, coming from 4th on the ladder to make the grand final, sadly going down to MVR 2-1 in tough conditions, wonderful effort by Michael Cooke and his team.
Wauchope Soccer Club was very fortunate to be selected to host three grand finals on ‘grand final night’ – it was a huge surprise to be presented in each one of them and certainly one of the biggest Friday nights to remember.
