Pupils devised all sorts of games and activities to get fellow students and staff to part with their cash.
Happily the weather stayed fine for the day, on Tuesday September 18.
Cathryn Whiteoak, the classroom teacher at the school who organised the day, was delighted with how it went.
“The Year 6 students have been very imaginative and enthusiastic about their fundraising,” she said.
“The money raised on the day will be used to buy the school a gift at the end of the year. It gives the students a chance to give back to Wauchope Public, and show their appreciation to the community for their years of primary schooling,” she said.
“The whole school get involved, and they’re having a ball.”
