They’ve been celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary with family and friends at Cassegrains.
George and Mavis say the secret to a long and happy marriage is give and take, and lots of love.
They met in Victoria over sixty years ago, and relocated to New South Wales in later life.
The couple love living in Wauchope, in Bundaleer village, and are very grateful to their daughter, Glenda for arranging a week of celebrations for the diamond wedding anniversary.
“Our family are marvellous,” they said.
On Thursday, the day of their 60th wedding anniversary, George contacted Cameron Marshall on ABC Radio, and asked him to play ‘Love Changes Everything’ sung by Michael Crawford.
“I cried when I heard it,” said Mavis.
