The youngster was competing in the Mid North Coast Girls Surf Riders Classic at Bonny Hills' Rainbow Beach.
Macy competed four years above her age group.
While the youngster was enjoying her first competitive ride, her two elder sisters Ally and Tori were also prominent during the early rounds of the two-day competition.
All three progressed to Sunday's Finals.
Ally said she enjoys having fun and getting out in the water with her friends.
"I really enjoy surfing and competing each month with the club. It helps in developing your skills," she said.
Despite the poor weather conditions on Saturday, all three were thoroughly enjoying the event.
Along with surfing, Tori said attending swimming had also helped them.
"We all enjoy getting to the beach as much as we can and really enjoy surfing," she said.
"And we watch Youtube clips and practice tricks like switch foot."
Parents, Damian and Cherie, said they support their daughters' surfing.
"It's just really good in developing all your muscles and a bit of salt water is really good for you too," they said.
"Surfing is also good for their overall confidence and they have also made plenty of friends too.
"The club is built on really good camaraderie. Surfing provides a great lifestyle and the girls really enjoy themselves in the water."
