The Wauchope RSL Sub-branch invites all serving personnel, all ex-service people and members of the public to attend the Centenary of Armistice, commencing with a march to the Cenotaph and service at Wauchope Cenotaph.
Those wishing to march should assemble at Wauchope RSL at 10.30am. The Cenotaph service will commence upon arrival of marchers.
A special display of some 2000 poppies, beautifully knitted by local ladies, will form a colourful surround to the Cenotaph for this once-in-a-lifetime parade and those ladies are especially invited to attend. Also the names of 540 Hastings men and women who served in WW1 will be on display at the Cenotaph.
So bring the family and pay respect to those who have died or have been wounded in all wars.
Seating will be provided for those with limited mobility.
A luncheon will be provided for members of the Sub-branch and their partners at the RSL, commencing 12.30pm.
