And the winners are, in Pro Carts:
- In first place in a blistering time of 5.53 was “What Tha “ with crew Paul & Josh.
- Second place went to “The Devils Apprentice” in a time of 6.00 with crew Luke & Duane,
- Third place went to “Savish” in a time of 7.46 with crew Huey & Dain.
- In the Open Carts, first place went to “Uncut” in a time of 8.21 with crew Nick & Rob.
- Second place was “Road Runner “ in a time of 10.03 with crew Josh & Trent .
- Third place was “Rosewood Rocket “ in a time of 10.20 with crew Rod & Damian .
- Followed up by “Grounds For Divorce” in a time of 12.02 with crew Justin & Brad.
- And lucky last was “Coyote“ in 16.19 with crew Matt & Alex
The winners of the Billycart barro of cheer raffle are first prize (the barro) Steve and Jill of Pappinbarra; second prize (two hours, two-people horse-ride at Bellrowan) Ericka Savage and third prize (fruit tray) Dick Williams.
The organising committee thanked all the entrants for the time and effort they spent on their carts.
“They looked amazing,” Mark Kucera said.
“To all our sponsors, thanks again for your great support, and to all the volunteers and anybody who helped out, thank you for making the day a great success.
“We hope to see everyone again next year,” he said.
Fellow-organiser James Wallis said they had a crowd of about 2000 who came from near and far.
“A lot of thought had gone into the majority of the carts,” he said.
“It was good to see even a couple of five-year-olds giving it a go. Some of the juniors were imitating their parents’ carts,” he said.
James is delighted that the event is going from strength to strength.
He thanked Mark Kucera for helping organise the carts on the day.
