Just 12 months into its association with the Auto One Australia group, local, independently owned A1 Auto Parts Wauchope, has won the A1 Auto Parts, Store of the Year.

Presented at the annual conference, this year held at Queenstown in New Zealand, store owners Rob and Jenny Hamilton said they were completely surprised by the award.

Accepting the award, Mr Hamilton said there had to be three main factors contributing to the recognition.

“The first has to be the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff ,in particular store manager Scott Rayner and his support crew Peter, Codie,  Bree and, of course, Laura,” he said.

“The second contribution for the award has been all of the fantastic local businesses and individuals who have supported us from day one.

“As a local business ourselves we have been mindful from day one that we needed to be as competitively priced and as easy to deal with as possible to be able to best service the local market.”

Mr Hamilton said the third contributing pillar to the award was their association with the Auto One group.

“The relationship, for us, has been very beneficial and successful, and one we hope will continue for a long time. The award topped off a very successful conference which enabled us to meet with other store owners from around Australia as well as representatives from our major suppliers,” said Mr Hamilton, adding that it may be a long time before he takes another jet boat ride, but that’s another story.
