The event is on Saturday December 8. It starts at 5.30pm.
Lions Club of Lake Cathie/Bonny Hills spokesperson Jan Cook says the night represents a great family night out.
"This is a fabulous night for our community," Mrs Cook said.
"The entertainment gets underway at 5.30pm with the Lake Cathie Public School students entertaining us for about an hour.
"From 6.30pm until about 8.30pm, the Camden Haven Concert Band will play for us. There are two guest artists, Bethany Cook and Cindy Brennan, performing with them.”
Mrs Cook said families are welcome to bring along a blanket and enjoy the hot food and cold drinks on sale.
She estimates that between 200 and 250 people are likely to attend.
"The kids love the chance to bop along with the band while Santa should be arriving around 7pm to hand out some lollies," she added.
She says many people simply enjoy the chance to relax and catch up with friends.
"This is a great family-oriented event.
"Lions gets involved because we believe in our community.
"Importantly, this event is for many of those new families who have only just arrived in the Lake Cathie or Bonny Hills areas too. We even attract people from Port Macquarie too."
