The staff at Wauchope District Memorial Hospital would like to express their thanks to the individuals, community groups, clubs and businesses who supported the Wauchope Palliative Care Unit last year.

The unit provides palliative care to patients from throughout the Hastings.

Our patients have benefited from donations of quilts, crocheted blankets, a mobile recliner chair, commode chair, four wheelie walkers, hats, nighties, comfort packs for families and carers, medical equipment, specially designed gowns, magazines, cushions and many other items.

We also received generous donations which enabled us to purchase electric recliner chairs, pressure relieving cushions, ultrasound equipment and physiotherapy equipment.

The donations also supported staff to attend conferences, workshops and pursue specialised palliative care education.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.

Sincerely,

Management and staff

Wauchope District Memorial Hospital
