It’s part of a $182 million boost to try to help reduce the toll of deaths and injuries on our roads.
Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight and Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey, said improvements include installing 113 kilometres of safety barriers, 3000 kilometres of rumble strips and 2800 kilometres of wide centreline markings statewide.
“In the Oxley electorate, more than $3.3M will be invested in a number of projects.
“These include on the Kempsey to Armidale Road between Yarravel and Bellbrook, the Oxley Highway from Mount Seaview to Plum Tree Hill Trig Road, and the Pembrooke Road from Pacific Highway to Beechwood Road.”
The works include safety improvements including flexible barriers with motorcycle underrun, audio-tactile line marking, sealed shoulders, improved signage and intersection upgrades.
