While representing NSW Country, 17-year-old earned an impressive fifth place in the Ironman and sixth in the Swim events while he finished in first place with his teammate in the Rescue Tube Rescue event.
“I still have another two years in that age group, so I am a real chance to win in the future,” Finn told the Argus.
“In the Iron man, all of the competitors who finished in the top 10 except for myself and another competitor were 19.
“It definitely makes me excited to see how I will go next year.”
Finn has quick turnaround as he will represent the Mid North Coast when he competes at the NSW Country Championships held at KingsCliff this weekend.

The St Paul’s College student will line up in the Swim, Board, Ironman and Ski events for the Under-17 age group and Finn has his eyes set on gold.
“I think I can win all four of the events, it’s a goal of mine and it will be very challenging but to leave the competition with four gold medals would be awesome,” Finn said.
Finn will also compete in the Swim and Ironman Open aged events.
The Surf Life Saving season is far from done for Finn as he will compete in the State championships later this month before he represents NSW at the Australian titles in early March.
