They have opened registrations for the 2019 season for all new and returning players from age four to over-35s.
The club will once again be fielding First and Reserve Grade teams in the Football Mid North Coast Premier League competition.
Wauchope Soccer Club is a community club that caters for children of all skill levels with its non-competitive Mini-Roo’s and junior competitive competitions.
In March, the club will run an intensive junior development program for interested youngsters looking to improve their football playing skills.
“We will also hold coaching courses throughout the season to develop and train current and prospective new coaches,” said president Justin Johns.
“The club is looking to develop and encourage all junior players, with the aim of keeping them involved with WSC for years to come. Football at the Mini-Roo level U6-U11 is all about fun and team involvement, whilst junior competitive U12 and up is where we look to develop players towards senior football,” he added.
2019 will aslo see the Women’s Football World Cup being played, so there is increased focus on developing and encouraging young girls to take up the game. Football Mid North Coast will have a number of Girls Only divisions starting from U7’s to cater for the increased numbers of girls playing football.
The club will run pre-season junior clinics on a Wednesday afternoon during March for junior competitive players aged 11 to 15. There will be more details on the club Facebook page, and via emails to registered players. WSC needs coaches for its junior sides, and invite people to register their interest.
Wauchope Soccer Club will hold a registration day at the Wauchope RSL Club on Saturday February 16 from 9.30am to 11.30am.
Online registration is preferred, but you’ll be able to get help on the day with registering, placing uniform orders and finding out more information about the club.
Be sure to take advantage of the Active Kids $100 voucher to go towards registration fees, by applying through Services NSW before registering any school-age child.
