Since taking part in the Wauchope Showgirl Competition she completed her Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws at UNE in 2015 and I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2017.
Ashley has also had continued to be involved with the Footprints in Ag youth committee which was established in 2015.
She says the Showgirl experience is a great opportunity to give back to our local community.
“I used my time as Wauchope Showgirl to contribute as a Director of Wauchope Show Society and to establish Footprints in Ag. It’s is a youth committee that brings together young people involved in agriculture on the Mid North Coast.
“As a committee, we have raised over $30,000.00 for charity in the last 3 years. This money has contributed to the Pappinbarra Bush fire recovery and Aussie Helpers Drought Appeals,” she said.

Ashley believes that the Showgirl experience is a great opportunity to grow your skills and networks both personally and professionally.
She says the worst thing about showgirl is the name.
“Think of it more as a female young ambassador experience which will assist you to get involved in the community and meet some new like-minded friends,” she said.
Describing a Wauchope Showgirl, she chose the words: energetic, hard-working and community-minded.
