Tickets are selling fast for a show by Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont at Wauchope RSL on Saturday March 2.
They’ve just released their third single, ‘Nothing Left to Win’, from their debut duo album, which was nominated for ARIA and Golden Guitar Awards.
The album started out as a project to fill in time, while their main bands were on a break. The self-produced, 10-track set reached number one on the ARIA country album charts, and has turned into one of the most acclaimed Australian country albums of the year.
The couple have extended their Highway Sky Tour, after a hugely successful Tamworth Country Music Festival, where they were nominated for four Golden Guitar awards.
“We played Wauchope in 2017 and we got such a great response that we thought we would come back,” said Brooke.
“We will play all the songs off our duo album, as well as some from our bands, and some covers. It’s a great, fun night.”
They did 56 shows together from February to June last year, and they really enjoyed working together.
“’Nothing Left to Win’ is a song I’m really proud of”, said Adam.
“It’s a good old cheating song which is based on a true story and it’s pretty raw. Hopefully it will strike a chord with anyone that has been in that situation.”
“This album has been so much fun for both of us and we’ll definitely do another one in the future but who knows when. For now, we’re really excited to get our duo show back on the road this year and then get back into The McClymonts and Adam Eckersley Band projects after that.”
They will be supported by 2019 Toyota Star Maker winner, Blake O’Connor who won a legion of new fans during the Tamworth Country Music Festival with his soulful vocals and heartfelt delivery.
Tickets are available from the Wauchope RSL Club, phone 6585 2244. And you can follow Adam and Brooke on Facebook.
