"We are small local hockey club that is big on the belief in promoting the fun and development of skill of all of our players over winning," said president Heath Thompson.
The club's family-friendly sporting philosophy encourages socialisation and the building of friendships via our teams which cater to all ages groups starting with Minky for 4-7 year olds to a local weeknight social team for those adults who have never played and want to learn, or just want to play for fun and not competitively.
Mr Thompson says the club's board of management is confident in backing its belief that hockey is the sport to play in 2019 and have reduced junior registration fees for 4-7 year-olds when using the Active Kids voucher.
All new players under the age of 11 years will also receive a voucher covering the cost of a stick, shinpads and mouthguard.
"We are looking forward to our two free introductory 'come and try' days at Landrigan Park on Thursday February 28 and Thursday March 7. Starting at 5pm and running for 45 minutes we will have coaches available to teach skills and run games for all who attend, with all equipment provided," he said.
There will be a Gala Registration Day BBQ on Saturday March 16 from 9am to 10.30am at Port Macquarie Hockey Fields, 1 Hockey Place, off Ocean Drive.
