The school has partnered with local cafe, Vege Out to launch their promotion of healthy eating choices and plans for a vegetable garden on Tuesday, March 18.
Students celebrated the day with sushi, fried rice, nachos and fruit.
Telegraph Point Public principal Duncan Adams said the school would be commencing a healthy eating partnership, school veggie garden and Fresh Fruit Friday.
"As part of the garden initiative we will be growing produce for lunches and developing sustainable produce to grow and harvest," he said.
"It's a joint initiative between Vege Out cafe and the school to incorporate healthy eating in the daily lives of students.
"Today is a bit of a taste test but the sushi and nachos seem quite popular and the fried rice.
"Students have been learning in class about healthy eating and it's aimed to start early to develop habits."
