As the day's change, we know that Easter is such a wonderful time in our region... perfect weather, holidays, catching up with family and friends, and of course chocolate!
I often wonder about people who are visiting us for the first time, and the excitement and anticipation they must feel before arriving on their holiday.
And I also wonder what they are feeling the day before they have to leave our little piece of paradise.
If you've decided to hit the road and travel with your family to faraway places, new scenery and good times - please drive safely and enjoy.
If you're staying put, or hosting family and friends - why not get out and about, try a new restaurant, take a drive to Comboyne or walk along the foreshore at Laurieton and pretend you are on holiday.
Maybe a shop and stroll through Wauchope's main street or dropping a line at Port Macquarie's breakwall might tickle your fancy, oh and an Easter egg hunt with the kids at one of our local parks has to be high on the priority list!
For me, I know my grandson is going to be excited about the Easter Bunny, and I'm looking forward to hosting a fabulous Easter lunch for friends and family.
Sometimes we really do forget just how lucky we are, and as more people turn their holiday destination into their new home ... they too realise there's no better place to be.
Have a safe and happy Easter everyone, eat chocolate and enjoy your place in paradise.
