Lego lovers - here is a weekend of fun and creativity you won't want to miss.
Building an operational arcade machine is the lofty aim of local student Zac Morgan for this year's Port Macquarie Brickfest 2019.
The Hastings Secondary College year nine student is hopeful the innovative gaming gadget will standout from exhibitions on display at Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, May 26.
The festival of building is presented by Rainbow Bricks and is a fundraiser for future robotics construction in Port Macquarie.
"Space Flight can only accept 50 cent coins, it took hours to find the right slot," he said about the machine designed to accept payment and delivers prize when players are successful.
"Each game is a challenge to trace with the infrared light, every rotation of the machine counts as one point.
"If you collect over 40 points which is about two or three minutes you get a reward and it dispenses Tic Tac box mini.
"The coding is through an EV3 mindstorm for the arms and motors."
Festival goers can check out the individual exhibitions on the day or have a look First Lego and First Robotics Competition robots on display.
The fourteen year old also entered the festival last year with a homemade pinball machine and will be adding additional trains to his stall at the exhibition this year.
"I've made a pinball machine last year which took about a month of construction over the school holidays," he said.
"We've done block code at school and had previous experience building robots at Hastings College.
"It's just the creativity of building with LEGO, you can do anything you want to do and be imaginative.
"There are infinite possibilities from simple to complicated coding."
The not-for-profit community event is created by volunteer LEGO fans showcases creations and collections from across the state.
The event features a build area for kids, tower building area, colouring competition for under 12s and a LEGO raffle.
