Author Desley Polmear is gearing up to launch her latest book titled Shattered in Wauchope on June 15.

The book which is set close to home and revolves around main character Gracie Lawson who moves back to town after living away for many years.
Ms Polmear said she loves writing and is excited for people to read her new book.
"My passion from writing started when I was in primary school and most of my teachers I had a great imagination," Ms Polmear said.
"I write everyday when I'm at home. I love putting my fingers on the keyboard and typing.
"I have no idea where the story will take me it just takes a life of its own.
'I am always observant when I'm out and about watching and listening because little bits of information can be added to a characters life."
She said she loves writing fiction but with a real world twist.
"My stories in my fiction novels are about real families lives," she said.
"People relate because they usually know someone that has lived a similar life or even themselves."
The book launch will be held at The Department Store on High Street, Wauchope at 10.30am on Saturday, June 15 with Port Macquarie-Hastings mayor Peta Pinson attending.
