Congratulations to Edna Lamb, Robyn Coombes, Alan Morris, Bruce Cant, Gerry de Vries, Margot Capp, Di Morrissey, Margaret Ezzy, Doreen Wilson, Mike Bartlett and Wendy Hughes from our electorate who were recognised.
Well done.
The Australian Electoral Commission is finalising the count of the recent federal election which will allow the new Parliament to be sworn in to office in the first week of July.
The senate composition will change and the government will be encouraging all senators to respect the mandate provided to us by the Australian people to implement the many policies we took to the election.
As Australia faces international economic headwinds, it is important the coalition's policies are able to be delivered in full to ensure we not only deliver the benefits of each initiative, but also so we can continue to grow the economy to help pay for the many services and infrastructure that our nation needs both now and in the future.
Our tax package, combined with our business and infrastructure packages, will provide an important stimulus to our economy that will create more jobs if the senate allows the implementation of these measures in full.
