Schools and community groups from around the Hastings are coming together to put on an excellent musical performance on June 16, at Panthers in Port Macquarie.
Students from St Joseph's Primary in Wauchope, St Joseph's Primary in Port Macquarie, Port Macquarie Primary and St Columba Anglican School along with the Koala Orchestra and Extravadance will be delighting crowds.
Leader of the Koala Orchestra Patrica Johnson OAM said the concert was all about giving back to a fantastic local organisation.
"Rotary Lodge is such an assest to the community. If you haven't needed to use it you are lucky but if you or your loved ones are in hospital you are lucky the service is there," Ms Johnson said.
"The Lodge provides very cheap accommodation for people and families who need to access the Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
"It is situated on the hospital grounds and when someone you know is in hospital it becomes a home away from home."
Ms Johnson said the concert had been going for many years and she was delighted with the community support the event had already received.
"Lots of tickets to the concert have already been sold but we are encouraging anyone who wants to come to purchase tickets at the door as well," she said.
"Tickets are $5 each and there is also a great raffle so it should be an awesome afternoon of music raising money for a great cause."
The Black and White Charity Concert is on at Panthers, Port Macquarie on June 16 from 2pm. Tickets are $5 at the door.
