Over the years, the Trotters, the Garretts, the Carrolls, the Norris', the Berrys and the Eggert families - just to name a few - have had long standing associations with the popular club.

Now there is a new breed of player coming through the ranks with Lachie, Jimmy and Billy Eggert have joined their mum Ann and uncle John on the courts each Tuesday night.

Part of the 11 teams competing in the 2019 winter club, the younger Eggerts are enjoying the competitive side of the game.

Lachie is playing in his own team while Jimmy is playing number 3 with Uncle John's team.

Billy is also playing but is a substitute player.

Meanwhile, following the closure of the Beechwood tennis courts, two teams have joined the Tuesday night competition.

Competition is played at the courts each Tuesday and Thursday nights through winter.

Women's competition is also played each Tuesday and Thursday.
