Mr Campbell will lead the club for the next 12 months, taking over from outgoing president Reg Pierce.
The club held its 67th changeover dinner at the Wauchope RSL Club on Tuesday June 18.
Mr Pierce said there were a number of highlights to the previous 12 months.
"It was quite inspiring to have all clubs in our district rally in support of our farmers," he said.
"These farmers are struggling through probably the worst drought in memory.
"The drought relief project, managed by Rotary Australia, distributed about $1.61 million.
"We have also completed several important and long term practical projects for the Wauchope community, including the building of shelters over riverside picnic tables and jointly working on the off lease dog park."
Mr Campbell said he was excited about the year ahead.
Rotary is also looking to discuss with council the possible construction of a lookout on Spencers Cutting.

"We will continue talking with Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and the community regarding the need for a gazebo in Bain Park," he said.
"This would complement the existing amphitheatre to support events such as weddings, Christmas Carols, playgroups and other community activities.
"Rotary is also looking to discuss with council the possible construction of a lookout on Spencers Cutting.
"We will also complete work on the dog park and shelters along the river."
Mr Campbell said the club will continue to support the end polio now campaign at the international level.
Rotary is also looking to a project which will target the elimination of malaria around the world.
The active youth program will see German student Lenia Collier arriving soon to spend six months with Wauchope families before completing her 12 month stay in Port Macquarie.
"We are also looking to sponsor at least two young adults to the rotary youth leadership awards," he added.
The new president spent three years as club secretary.
The new board is, George Campbell president; Reg Pierce past president and international; Loris Hendy secretary and youth services; president elect and membership Diana Reynolds; administration Barry Thompson; community service Kevin Whitbread.
