A POOR box draw did little to harm the chances of part-owned Wauchope greyhound Bago Bye Bye as he charged to Group 1 success at Albion Park last Thursday.

His win in the 2019 TAB Gold Cup backed up his victory in the New Zealand Cup Group 1 earlier in the year with connections pocketing $150,000.
Co-owner Greg Watts said he won by six lengths after jumping from box six and once he rounded the first turn, he wasn't going to be beaten.
"He likes to be on the inside, but he just pinged and it was all over on the first turn," Watts said.
"Once he got round them they weren't going to catch him. $150,000 is a big help in life."
The three-year-old continued his unbeaten record at the track which made him a dual Group 1 winner following his success at the New Zealand Cup in November last year.

- Greg Watts
"His home track made a hell of a difference," Watts said.
"Sometimes he jumps and sometimes he doesn't. He anticipates the lids and he got it right which was good."
He has now appeared in a number of Group 1 finals and also appeared in the Australian Cup final at The Meadows in February.
"Since bringing him home he's been in four Group 1 finals and been unlucky and met a better dog on the night," he said.
"He loves Albion Park, he's unbeaten there so he loves the track and I wish it was easy, but it's more good luck than good management.
"It was a thrill, don't worry about that."
Watts admitted it was a satisfying result for a number of reasons.
"I had a lot of knockers when I brought him back from New Zealand, but I haven't heard too many of them knocking me lately," he said.
They were also looking to send him to stud at the end of the year.
"He's got more frequent flyer points than me, but if he gets over there (to Perth) I'll be going over to watch him, don't worry about that," Watts said.
"He's got about six months.
"He's starting to get a bit old and he's got a couple of niggling injuries too, but while he's only 90 per cent, he's still 90 per cent better than a lot of them."
