Entrant numbers are up on last year, with over 117 businesses submitting online entries across 37 categories.
Over 7615 public votes were received online, with an additional 200 paper votes, amounting to 7815 votes in total.
Overall, the judges were very impressed with the calibre of this year's outstanding entrants.
After submitting an entry, judges combined the result with a mystery shop score and public voting to produce a final tally and determine the top four finalists in each category.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Saturday July 27.
Port Macquarie Chamber executive Mark Wilson says it was pleasing to see entrants challenging themselves.
"Our judges - independent business professionals from across the Port Macquarie region - were very pleased to see the entrants challenging their skills and providing plenty of detail from which to assess each submission," he said.
"In some categories, the scores were literally one or two points apart, so our judges were very grateful for the added support from the public voting and the mystery shop.
"The local business community can now look forward to celebrating the best in industry at the upcoming Gala Dinner on Saturday, July 27."
Tickets to the gala dinner are available and can be purchased from the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce website, as individual tickets or for multiple seating, for businesses looking to celebrate with their teams, family or business associates.
Guests and members of the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce can expect a night of glitz and glamour. Tickets include a three course dinner, entertaining MC's and to dance the night away with Gotcha Covered after the awards ceremony.
