After just completing a very successful year, Lions are out and about doing countless hours of volunteer service to the community of Wauchope.
One of our latest assistance to the community was support for the Palliative Care Hospital at Wauchope being the supply and donation of an ECG machine, and you may have noticed a new Defibrillator installed in High Street, outside the Wauchope Pharmacy.
This was also donated by Wauchope Lions and The Patricia Dukes Foundation.
We have been very active in our canteen at the show ground for the Wauchope Show, Yesteryear Truck show and the Caravan four wheel drive show.
Chip days at both the Primary and High schools were very popular, with all monies raised going back to the schools, chips and equipment provided by the Lions Club.
We have also been out and about collecting spectacles for recycling, all sports day at Bain Park, Yippin Creek Miniature Railway, assisting in Judging at Hastings Science Fair, distributing Koala Sculptures to six primary schools in the area, (students are very excited about this project) and keeping our streets of Wauchope clean and tidy.
Naturally, funds raised go towards community and a variety of Lions projects.
We are a great club, have fun and enjoy what we do to help the community.
So come and try us out, we will help you blend into our club.
We have a number of activities planned. Our meetings are first and third Mondays of the month at Wauchope RSL from six thirtyish.
Also, we have a table at the Wauchope RSL every Friday night from 5.30PM to 7.30PM with our Lions Charity Draw.
Call by and have a chat and discover some members of the Wauchope Lions Club.
