Visitors to Floriade will be able to eat and drink their way around the world when the festival kicks off on September 14, quite fitting given this year's theme is World in Bloom.

From local wines, to Nepalese street food, from Pialligo Estate's award-winning smallgoods to Grease Monkey Burgers, there'll be something for every taste.
Following the success of an increased local produce focus in 2018, Floriade has renewed its partnership with Pialligo Estate to run Floriade's main cafe space with their Pialligo Urban offering. Other returning partnerships include Capital Brewing Co. as the beer partner, Contentious Character as the wine partner and Underground Spirits as the festival's gin partner.
Underground Spirits chief executive officer Claudia Roughley said the team is making a bespoke gin for the occasion.
"We're still working on the final flavour combinations, but think Spring, think floral ... it will a limited edition run, only available during Floriade," she said.
Contentious Character will be releasing three new wines during Floriade, a rosé, a sparkling chardonnay pinot noir blush and a red bubbly. Director Tony Mansfield said there would be a special "Grass to Glass" bar area near Stage 88, where his winery, Capital Brewery and Underground Spirits will all be located.
"Perhaps we should call it the noisy corner," Roughley suggested.
Leonie Sassall from Pialligo estate said they'll be offering grazing boxes during NightFest, available for pre-order so visitors can collect and then head off to watch the entertainment. NightFest rubs from October 3-6.
In keeping with the theme Dan Watters said Capital Brewing will be offering a range of international beers alongside all their favourites.
This year's theme, World in Bloom, will be showcased through designs across 21 flowerbeds and more than 189 portable raised flowerbeds positioned throughout the park, alongside a brimming program of live entertainment, food, drinks and market stalls. More than 500,000 visitors are expected to walk through the gates during the 30-day festival.
Floriade wraps up on Sunday, October 13, with the popular Dogs' Day Out.
