The 2019 Legacy badge appeal runs from September 1-7 culminating in the Badge Day on September 6.
In Wauchope, they will be at the town IGA in Hastings Street and the Wauchope Newsagency.
In Laurieton volunteers will be at the Laurieton United Services Club and at Coles.
In Port Macquarie Legacy volunteers will be stationed at Settlement City, Port Central, Bunnings, the Commonwealth Bank, St George Bank, Lake Innes Coles.
Alf Smith is the deputy president for the local Port Macquarie branch and said purchasing a badge can go a long way to helping veterans and their families.
"A Legacy badge may be small but the funds they raise have a big impact," Mr Smith said.
"Legacy helps families of people who either died during conflicts or who have come home mentally or physically damaged.
"In the Port Macquarie region we are supporting a large number of families including children and that can mean anything from food to driving lessons for teenagers.
"This year we also helped send 30 students to the Luminosity Youth Summit who would have otherwise not been able to attend so every little bit helps."
Mr Smith said even a small donation will make a big difference in the lives of the people Legacy support.
"This week has been a big one for us with more than 30 volunteers helping to sell badges, key rings, wristbands, chocolates and limited edition collectible coins.
"Over the years the community has been so generous and on Friday we will be at a number of locations and would love the community to get behind us again this year."
