Wauchope Waratahs play Western Phoenix in U16 Girls North Grand Finals

The Wauchope Waratahs are hoping for victory in one of six junior grand finals taking place around the Zone.

In Laurieton, the U16 and U18 Girls North Grand Finals will be played. The North U16 girls will see the Wauchope Waratahs play Western Phoenix at 6.15pm at the Vince Inmon Sporting Complex in Laurieton tonight, Friday September 6.

Eight points split the sides on the competition ladder and the Phoenix remain undefeated this season. The Waratahs have only lost three games, all against their Grand Final opponent. The most recent, a 2-1 result in the Qualifying Semi Final.

The North Under 18 Girls, at 7.45pm in Laurieton will see the Camden Haven Redbacks face the Port United Vixens. They are also the top two sides, after the regular season play-off for the title.

Premiers Camden Haven Redbacks finished four points ahead of Port United Vixens. The sides have clashed four times this season. The Redbacks won 2-1 in the last meeting which was the Qualifying Semi Final. Three of the four losses the Vixens had during the regular season were against their Grand Final opponents, all close encounters.
