People who are homeless and doing it tough will have a new food van delivering free supplies around Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton, thanks to the Making A Difference charity.

The new van was launched on Sunday September 8 at the Bago Vineyard where crowds sat on the grass and listened to jazz, while raising money for the venture.
Erin Denham from Making A Difference said it was all about ensuring the future of a mobile food van which would complement the Orange Sky laundry van which they raised money for two years ago.
"Our main aim is to reach people who are disadvantaged and doing it tough in our local area," she said.
"The van relies on volunteers and businesses donating food. It will service the Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton areas and do five to eight shifts a week. We will collaborate with other charities and services which already exist," she added.
A hairdresser has offered to give free haircuts to people on the street. Tim Walker from Hastings Co-op said they were delighted to be sponsors because homelessness is such a big issue, and one they are proud to be involved with. The charity said a big thank you to the following organisations for their generous donations:
