The message coincides with Anti-Poverty Week which runs from October 13-19.
A spokesperson from the club said sponsoring a child through the Smith Family helps ease the burden through providing financial support, social connection and access to education services.
The local club sponsors Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for the Smith Family programs.
Club member Inara Cercins said members receive letters from the children once a year, to give an update on how they have progressed.
"The funding helps their education and it's a wonderful feeling to hear all about how much they have achieved," she said.
In 2018 VIEW Clubs from across Australia helped raise over $1.1 million for the Smith Family. Clubs collectively sponsor more than 1350 Australian children in need to support their education.
Group members meet every third Monday at the Laurieton United Services Club for their monthly luncheon.
The group is open to new members. For more information or to join please call 02 6585 4454 or email camdenhavendayview@gmail.com
