As part of continued efforts to help those out west as they battle in drought, business owner Lisa Baker said she wanted to do something to help and saw a post on Facebook.
"I saw a post on Facebook about sending donations to Tamworth just in time for Christmas and thought we could get involved in that," Mrs Baker said.
"Our community is so generous and we know that times are tough for everyone but I still think we can make a difference.
"If everyone in Wauchope donated a can or something we could make a real difference to the families and people out west."
Mrs Baker said as the drought continues even in Wauchope the effects are being felt.
"We have really noticed it as the drought continues but if we band together we can help and support those doing it tough," she said.
"Pets and animals are always a part of country living and they are doing it tough as well, so every donation will be much appreciated."
Donations will be sent in the middle of December just in time for Christmas.
