Her latest creation is a replica of May Steele's milk cart from 1914 and her attention to detail is phenomenal.
For over 50 years, from 1897 to 1947, May Steele supplied milk to households and accommodation establishments in town.
"I mean why not create them?" Daphne said.
"I think looking at history from a photograph is one thing but being able to see a replica cart in the flesh and being able to touch it and pick it up gives a lot more to someone wanting to find out about the past.
"I have always been a very hands on kind of person and when I moved to town five years ago I wanted to learn more about the history of the place.
"From there I started working with the Wauchope District Historical Society and I have loved being able to bring the local history to life through my replicas."
The replica was gifted to the Hastings Coop recently as a memento of their 103rd birthday and Daphne said she has loved bringing Wauchope's history to life.
The cart was originally made by Doug Andrews using locally sourced Beechwood and Daphne said her replica does as well.
The noble steed who pulled the milk cart was named Mic and in tribute the horse who pulls the replica cart has also been named Mic.
"I wanted it to be as close to the real thing as possible and so the wood I used would be as old as the original cart which I think is a lovely touch," she said.
"From historical pictures we know the cart would have had two 25 gallon drums on the back and the cart was also used to transport mail so I have made tiny envelopes.
"My replica is based on historical photographs and it is as close to the original as I could make it."
Daphne said her labour of love took a few months to create but she is delighted with the final outcome.
"It did take a long time and I started with a single piece of wood which is cut and manipulated myself.
"I have also been a hands on kind of person and growing up I always preferred tools to dolls.
"I love seeing something come to life."
Over the last few years Daphne has also gained publicity for creating a model 1943 NR Mack truck and a replica of the first truck to come through the Hastings Valley.
Tim Walker from the Hastings Coop said they were incredibly happy with the end result.
"The replica takes pride of place in our office and everyone who comes for a visit will see the replica when then come in," Mr Walker said.
