The show at the Wauchope RSL Club will be open from 10am until 3pm.
"This show is different from all other shows that you become the judge of the plants," said organiser Greg Elliott.
"You do a popular vote and the orchid with the most votes wins with a first place, a second place and a third place over all."
Entry will be by gold coin donation and there will be a large range of later blooming orchids in flower that are not at any other previous shows ie, Indian Dendrobiums and other beautiful orchids.
"We will have some of the most decorative Bromeliads on display from local breeders that are members of our Society and their plants are of exceptional quality," he said.
On the day, there will be two talks, one at 11am and the other at 1.30pm, giving you the right way to care for your orchids. There will be a large selection of orchids in flower for people to buy.
"This gives you the chance to expand your collection or just give growing orchids a go, then you can join in our orchid society and learn how to grow these rewarding plants," said Mr Elliott.
"Our society teach the art of growing good healthy plants with in depth instructions from our knowledgeable members with many years experience, you will be informed to the right way to grow your orchids, it's easy once you know how.
The Society has been given a handmade quilt which will be raffled and the money raised will be going to the Wauchope Hospital Oncology Unit.
It was donated by Kathy Hancock of Port Macquarie which depicts colourful orchids and is 150cm x 10cm with a hanging pocket so you can hang it just like a painting.
The quilt will be on display at our show and will start the raffle, tickets are $1.00 each and the winner will be drawn at our Mother's Day Show in 2020.
