Around 1000 people, including NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello, NSW Police and Emergency Services Minister David Elliott and NSW Shadow Minister for Better Public Services Sophie Cotsis, were on hand to witness clubs being honoured for their enormous contributions to community life.

"Clubs make an enormous social contribution right across the state, and many of the initiatives they've been recognised for are nothing short of inspirational," said Mr Ball.
"The Clubs & Community Awards encapsulate what our industry is all about and I congratulate all of the clubs that have been recognised for the fantastic work they do."
The awards were split into nine categories: Arts & Culture; Clubs in Collaboration; Disability, Welfare & Social Inclusion; Education; Emergency Services; Health & Wellbeing; Heart of the Community, Support of Amateur Sport; and Youth Leadership.
And for the first time in the history of the awards, a special drought relief category was created to acknowledge the large number of clubs who have supported drought-stricken farming communities.
