"At Commonwealth Bank, our people are committed to driving positive change within their communities to make a difference locally and for all Australians," said a spokesperson.
Over the next few months, Commonwealth Bank has again pledged to donate $500,000 nationally to recognise organisations that make a difference in local communities. Each branch and team has been allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local community.
Commonwealth Bank's Wauchope branch team voted to support the great work of Wauchope Men's Shed.
"With the festive season approaching, it's a timely opportunity for us to show our support for The Wauchope Men's Shed," said Lauren Pye, Commonwealth Bank Wauchope Branch Manager.
"In particular, The Wauchope Men's Shed contribution back to the local community, so it's great to be able to give back and support this work."
The Wauchope Mens Shed say they are very grateful to the Commonwealth Bank for their kind donation and it will make a big difference to them. They make items for a pre-school, the IGA, the Show Society and Bundaleer, and members also make their own things.
They get together and chat and have a cup of tea, and enjoy each other's company.
