Store manager Kylie Joseph pulled out the winning ticket and Yvonne Coulon from Wauchope took delivery of a double chair and two single Adirondack chairs and side table valued at $500. The items were made by members of Wauchope Men's Shed.
Other prize-winners of two single Adirondack chairs with side table, a family Christmas hamper and Hastings Co-op vouchers were also announced. The hamper and vouchers were donated by Hastings Co-op IGA supermarket.
Wauchope Men's Shed thanked management and staff of the Wauchope IGA, and other local businesses for their valued support.
The draw concludes a major fundraising effort by the members of the Wauchope Men's Shed. The proceeds of the raffle will go towards funding urgently needed ongoing workplace maintenance and improvement projects.
"As a not-for-profit organisation, the Wauchope Men's Shed places a great deal of reliance on community support to maintain its role as a valued community asset," said president Robert Read.
"Located at Wauchope Showground, the Shed provides men in the local community with a sense of belonging and an opportunity to improve their health and well-being through their participation in Shed activities.
"But more than this, the things we make help the local community, and include the building, repairing and restoring of items for local schools, clubs, businesses and families in the area," he added.
Further fundraising activities for the coming year include garage sales and raffles.
