"We have already allocated $9,000 to various organisations here and around the State," said Robin Starr from the church.
"People need water, and one of our church people got in touch with Wauchope Rotary and we heard that someone needs a tank of water, so we are giving $2,000 which is going through BlazeAid at Wauchope Showground to this family in need."
"We trying to spread this money locally," said Bronwyn Vickers from the Uniting Church.
"We are very interested to hear who can tell us what's happening and how we can help."
George Campbell from Wauchope Rotary said $2,000 has come to Rotary and $1,000 will go to the hay project, and the other $1,000 will go to support the Rural Fire Service. He said Rotary will contribute another $3,600 to hay and another $2,600 will go to the local rural fire brigades.
"The Uniting Church are helping people in need, and we are a conduit to feed it through to where it needs to go. Because we are all voluntary, we are not losing money through administration.
"We want to help local dairy farmers and local firies who are finding it very tough. Even if it rains, it's going to be months before anything grows to help them out," he added.
Anyone local who needs help can contact Uniting Church members Bronwyn Vickers on 0417 465 942 or Robin Starr on 6585 1766.
