Hosted by the Hastings Neighbourhood Service and is a continuation of the Healthy Towns initiative the Family Fun day is a chance for the community hub to showcase the local services available and bring a little fun to the holidays.
Lake Cathie Community Hub and Garden coordinator Brandan Woollam said the day was shaping up to be great.
"The Family Fun Day is a way we can engage the community and showcase all the services available at the Community Hub," Mr Woollam said.
"We will have a jumping castle and face painting along with lots of games for the kids and the Big Red Bus will also be coming along on the day.
"The day is also going to be a fundraiser for the Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills RFS so we are asking a gold coin donation per family to enjoy the fun.'
Mr Woollam said there is no need to register just come along on the day and have some fun.
"From the Healthy Towns initiative we have secured funding for a community garden and to set up the Community Hub and we hope people will come along and check us out."
The Family Fun Day is on January 22 from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Lake Cathie Community Hub.
