After talking to fire captain Glenn Dunn about what equipment is needed for his volunteers, who not only have worked tirelessly fighting our local fires but also have gone south to assist around the state, they sprung into action to organise the fundraiser.
The business community has been generous with prizes that will be raffled and auctioned on the day.
Prizes range from a 'Tradie Wheelbarrow' organised by Andrew 'Pud' Manton worth around $1500 to be raffled to so many vouchers and prizes from business owners who either operate in Bonny Hills or live in the village.
It has been an overwhelming show of generosity.
The day is being held on Saturday, January 18 from 1pm-6pm with an array of local musicians playing all day long and finishing off with Ghost Road band.
There will be jumping castles, face painting and many more kids activities, food vans including icecream, donuts, lollies, a sausage sizzle run by Bonny Hills Social Golf Club and more with all proceeds going directly to Bonny Hills RFS.
You can find out more details about the day by checking out Bonny Hills Beach Hotel facebook page.
