The whole of the Oxley Highway between Wauchope and Walcha is now open to two way traffic but a reduced 60 km/h speed limit remains in place as clean-up operations continue.
The arrangements were required due to the impact of bushfires in October last year.
Damaged trees have been removed and guardrail has been repaired over a 50 kilometre section.
Work is continuing to repair pavement damaged by falling trees, reinstate signage and guideposts, and remove waste materials and debris from the side of the road.
Multiple teams will be working on a 60 kilometre section of the Oxley Highway between Ralfes Creek and Kangaroo Flat from 6am to 6pm on weekdays until the end of March. Motorists are advised to allow up to an extra 25 minutes travel time.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
