New town hall and potential rate rise on agenda for Hastings Shire Council meeting - 1970

The mayor of Port Macquarie, Alderman C.C. Adams said in a radio interview recorded on Tuesday night, that the building of a town hall would not necessarily cause a rise in rates. It can be built from loans and government money, he said. The mayor added that if a rise did occur, it would be very, very small.
