THEY currently sit in second-last spot on the Mid North Coast Premier League ladder, but Wauchope RSL captain Darren Bourke hasn't given up on their season.

Such is the closeness of the competition, RSL are only one win out of finals contention and helping their cause heading into the start of the final round is a favourable run in the final seven weeks of the competition.
Trips to Chatham Park and South Kempsey are their only two matches away from Andrews Park.
But that will count for nothing if they don't start winning regularly after only registering two victories in 11 matches so far this season.
"This week's game against Taree West is a must-win as we need to be beating teams around us," Bourke said.
"It's also important we gain some momentum for the back end of the season to make a run for finals and it all starts now."
Bourke believes the competition's return to the 40-over format will suit his team's style of cricket more after an eight-week period of twenty20 cricket.
Having less of a reliance on Nathan Lyon at the top of the order will also help his team's ability to finish the season strongly.
Someone else needs to stand up with the bat.
"We have lacked match-winning performances with bat and ball in the competition so far, so that is an area we will look to improve on," he said.
"Taking those 50-50 chances in the field can also change a game."
Elsewhere, a win for Port City Leagues Magpies over Port Macquarie Pirates at Oxley Oval will make Wauchope's task of qualifying for the finals that much harder.
Magpies currently sit in fourth spot on the ladder.
