Minor flooding is expected along the Camden Haven River at Laurieton on Sunday morning near the high tide. Heavy rainfall has been observed across the Camden Haven River catchment in the last 15 hours, with heavy rainfall forecast over the next 24 hours.
Abnormally high tides will combine with this rainfall to produce minor flooding at Laurieton.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for Very Heavy Rainfall, Abnormally High Tides, Damaging Surf and Damaging Winds for many districts including the Mid North Coast.
What we are expecting:
Camden Haven River: Minor flooding is expected along the Camden Haven River.
Data for the Laurieton Water Level gauge is currently unavailable. The Camden Haven River at Laurieton is expected to reach the minor flood level (1.10 metres) around 09:00 am Sunday, with the high tide.
Based on the prediction provided by the Bureau of Meteorology it is expected that flood water may start to come across low lying roads, bridges and causeways - it may inundate low lying properties in the area.
At Laurieton, North Haven and Dunbogan
Low lying streets in Laurieton, Dunbogan and North Haven including Dunbogan & Diamond Waters Caravan Park may start to flood.
Diamond Head Road, Camden Head Road and The Boulevarde may close.

Moderate rainfall has been recorded across the lower Hastings over the last 24 hours, with further heavy rainfall forecast over the next 24 hours.
Abnormally high tides will combine with this rainfall to produce minor flooding at Settlement Point.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for Very Heavy Rainfall, Abnormally High Tides, Damaging Surf and Damaging Winds for many districts including the Mid North Coast.
River Height Predictions
Minor flooding may occur along the Hastings River. The Hastings River at Settlement Point may reach the minor flood level (1.20 m) around 09:00 am Sunday, with the high tide.
What we are expecting:
At Settlement Point and surrounding areas flood waters may start to impact low lying roads and bridges including:
- Hastings River Drive and Settlement Point Road
- North Shore - Shoreline Drive, Wombat Close, Dolphin Court & Marlin Place Maria River Road
- The Hibbard Ferry may cease operations
What you need to do: Farmers on low lying land close to rivers and creeks are urged to monitor livestock, pumps and other equipment. Waste and chemical containers should be located well above predicted flood levels.
What you need to do:
- People in areas likely to be impacted by flooding need to consider the following:
- Refraining from driving or walking through flood water
- The impact of possible road closures and flood isolation on (health and safety), work, family and educational commitments
- Monitoring emergency warnings and severe weather updates on local ABC radio, NSW SES Mid North Coast Facebook Page and Bureau of Meteorology website If your property is at risk of inundation, please raise moveable items, such as furniture, as high as possible onto benches or tables, placing electrical items on top
- If you live in a low-lying area and are advised by an emergency services officer to evacuate, please do so
- Securing outside belongings and before leaving; turn off the power, water and take essential medicines and clothes with you
- For emergency help in floods and storms, call the NSW State Emergency Service on 132 500. In life threatening situations call triple zero (000) immediately.

Minor flooding expected along the Hastings River at Kindee Bridge, Wauchope and Settlement Point from Sunday morning onwards.
Heavy rainfall has been recorded across the lower Hastings over the last 24 hours, with further heavy rainfall forecast over the next 24 hours.
Abnormally high tides will combine with this rainfall to produce minor flooding at Settlement Point.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for Very Heavy Rainfall, Abnormally High Tides, Damaging Surf and Damaging Winds for many districts including the Mid North Coast.
Hastings River:
Minor flooding is expected along the Hastings River.
The Hastings River at Kindee Bridge is expected to reach the minor flood level (4.70 metres) around 06:00 am Sunday.
The Hastings River at Wauchope is likely to reach the minor flood level (2.50 metres) Sunday afternoon.
Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.
ROSSGLEN
There is flooding on the Pacific Highway just past Watson Taylor Road at Rossglen. One of the two north-bound lanes is closed. Please reduce your speed and exercise caution.
