In a final flooding warning bulletin on Monday afternoon, February 10, after a weekend of downpours, the NSW State Emergency Service said the Hastings River at Kindee Bridge peaked at 5.14 metres, above the minor flood level, very early on Monday morning.
Levels at Wauchope peaked below the minor flood level at around midday on Monday. A severe weather warning is currently in place for heavy rainfall, abnormally high tides, damaging surf and damaging winds for many districts including the Mid North Coast.
FLOOD SAFETY ADVICE:
In life-threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you need to be rescued, help to evacuate, or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
- Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place
- Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood
- Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains
- Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.

- Hastings River at Mt Seaview 1.95 falling at noon on Monday
- Hastings River at Kindee Bridge 2.80 falling at noon on Monday
- Hastings River at Wauchope 2.14 falling at 12.30pm on Monday
- Wilson River at Telegraph Point 1.14 steady at noon on Monday
- Hastings River at Settlement Point 0.92 falling at noon on Monday
This is a final warning from the NSW SES and no further warnings will be issued for this event.
