The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service's fundraising golf day includes the chance to win a new Toyota Yaris valued at $18,000.
The fundraising golf day is at the Port Macquarie Golf Club on Friday February 21.
The service's community liaison officer Richard McGovern says the event is designed to cater for golfers of all levels.
"This is simply a fun day and a fun way of raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service," he said.
"We have been able to secure JR Richards and Son as a golf day sponsor while the car hole-in-one sponsor is Insurance House.
"The brand new Toyota Yaris is valued at $18,0000 - and could be yours if you can successfully land a hole in one."
The golf day is a nine-hole drop off ambrose competition with a 1pm shotgun start.
There will be a barbeque lunch and registration from noon.
The cost for a team of four is just $200 and includes a gift pack.
A corresponding event held in 2018 attracted over 60 golfers & last year's event was postponed due to the devastating bush fires.
"The service is the community's own Rescue Helicopter flying on average five missions to the Mid-North Coast each week."
Mr McGovern said each mission costs around $4000 per hour.
"In one sense we are lucky living on the Mid-North Coast because we are serviced by both our Tamworth and Newcastle medical aircraft.
"But that comes at a cost with most missions costing between $6000 to $10,000 each depending on what the aircraft is required to do for each mission.
"The community's own rescue helicopter, is ready to respond 24/7, 7 days a week all thanks to the support of towns and districts we service."
